Overview
At Sigma Networks, we provide electrical installation services delivering all the electrical components of our clients' mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects. These services include inspection, testing, commissioning and overall project management.
In support of electrical services, we provide complementary packages to the M&E project: copper and fibre data networks, CCTV systems, access control, door entry and audio-visual systems.
Formed in 1997, we have placed at our core a quality approach to our work based on integrity, the highest standards of delivery and cost control for every project: from initial conception to completion and acceptance. Our ISO 9001 compliance ensures the standards we hold are maintained at every level in the company.
We believe our ability to understand our clients' needs and articulate them in a clear and concise manner, together with a rigorous project management approach, enables us to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 apply to all aspects of the use of electricity within the workplace. They place duties on employers, employees and the self-employed to prevent danger. The duty holder must maintain the electrical systems as necessary to prevent danger.
The regulations require all electrical installations to be periodically tested for safety and compliance.
Formally known as the "Fixed Wire Test", the frequency of Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) inspection and testing varies with the type of premises: cinemas and entertainment arenas are subject to more regular testing, whereas landlords, commercial, industrial and educational buildings should be tested every 5 years.
We can arrange a rolling programme of testing for your installation to spread the cost of testing over a 3 or 5 year period. When combined with Emergency Lighting testing and routine maintenance, a schedule of works can be produced. With insurers insisting that testing is kept up to date, now's the time to call us.
Emergency Lighting
All commercial and industrial buildings must be fitted with an emergency lighting system to ensure safe evacuation in the case of an emergency.
It is vital that these systems are properly maintained, not only because it is a statutory requirement and most insurance companies require it, but because the safety of you and your staff may depend on it.
We can arrange regular inspection, testing and certification of emergency lighting systems every 6 or 12 months to ensure your premises are fully compliant with the BS5266-1 standard. We'll also provide the required documentation and log book.
Experts in emergency lighting, Sigma Networks holds full accreditation with NIC/EIC, (the electrical industry's leading certification body) and ISO 9001: we are regularly audited and accredited for quality and professionalism.
From schools and colleges to commercial offices and retail premises, we provide organisations of all types with an ongoing programme of testing and certification, along with remedial work if required.
